Grounds Services

Introduction

The FMC Grounds Department team performs a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of the University's environment including mowing lawns, trimming trees and tree removal, cultivating flower beds, and maintaining plants inside and outside buildings. This team also maintains the exterior campus infrastructure including irrigation systems, litter removal, power washing sidewalks and building entrances and exterior stairwells, storm damage cleanup and assists with roadway and parking lot maintenance.

Grounds has trained and licensed Pest Control team members who routinely treat exterior landscaped areas of campus. For interior pest control concerns, please submit a Work Order or call the FMC Service Desk at x2250.

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety is responsible for supervising the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste and materials. Ground Services may assist Environmental Health and Safety as needed under the direct supervision of Environmental Health and Safety.
