Fleet Management
Introduction
FMC Fleet Management is responsible for and provides the following services:
- Scheduled and emergency services of all UHCL vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks, shuttle buses and carts.
- Coordinating with outside vendors for services that cannot be provided in-house.
- Maintaining records of service for all vehicles.
- Maintaining records of fuel consumption.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports submitted to the State on an annual basis.
- Maintaining fleet records including license and registration.
The Automotive Shop can also assist staff and faculty who would like to use a university vehicle for university business.
Automotive Shop
- Maintains and services all university vehicles .
- Inputs data for compliance with State reporting guidelines for vehicles.
- To request the use of an FMC vehicle, a Vehicle User Agreement form must be completed and drivers must be approved and on the UHCL insurance.
- All drivers must complete State Office of Risk Management (SORM) Driver Safety course
every 3 years.
