Office and/or Lab Keys

Most colleges will ask you to submit an Access Request Form for your office and/or lab.  Once you know the office/lab number a request can be submitted to locksmith@uhcl.edu. Note: Most offices will require 2 keys (one for the office and one for the office suite). Naming the security delegate for your area is required on all access requests.

RSVP for New Faculty Orientation

New Faculty Orientation will be held on the Clear Lake campus Tuesday and Wednesday, August 13-14, 2024, from 8:30-5:00. Please fill out the New Faculty Orientation RSVP Form as soon as possible.

Parking Permit

Employees are required to have a parking permit for the UHCL and Pearland campuses. Parking is enforced 24/7. Vehicles without a permit are subject to ticketing. Information about parking can be located on the UHCL Parking and Transportation website. Upon accepting your position electronically, a temporary parking code was provided in your onboarding email.

Texas Medical Center (TMC) Faculty Parking is available at the Texas Children's Hospital garage at 6624 Fannin Tower. Please use unreserved spaces and not valet parking. Plan to pay for parking, save your receipts, and periodically request reimbursement by having your administrative support use the following cost center: 3056-C0159-I0535-NA [speed type 15962].

Business Operations can arrange for a monthly parking card, using the same cost center, for anyone who regularly visits the Texas Medical Center 14 or more times a month for 4-6 hours each time. That frequency drops to 13 visits per month if you spend >6 hours per visit. These guidelines ensure that we are fiscally prudent and that costs align with usage. Please do NOT create a personal monthly parking account as we have a corporate account.

Your annual UHCL parking fee covers Fannin Garage parking, there is no cost to you.

Hawk Card

Official ID Cards will provide access to various services and buildings on campus. You may initiate the creation of your Hawk Card after your first day of employment. Information can be found on the Hawk Card webpage or in the folder provided by Human Resources.
