Intro to Weight Training
Do you want to get into exercise but don't feel like you know where to start? If so, please join us for our intro to weightlifting small group fitness class! In this four-week program our trainers will teach beginner exercisers the basics of exercise, and the fundamentals of weightlifting.

0 - 5k
Want to start running but don’t know where to start? Join us on our 0-5K journey, where our trainers guide you on a beginner running plan that will prepare you to run a 5K. Throughout the duration of this class you will learn the basics of nutritional needs during running, correct form, and create a long-lasting love for running in a small group training setting.

Exercise at Home Series
Worried about finals, won’t be able to make it to the gym as often? Come to the rec once a week to learn techniques you are able to use at home to get your exercise in! Our trainers will guide and educate you in HITT exercises designed to make the most efficient use of your time at home just in time for finals season. This 4-week program is designed for maximum results with the minimum amount of equipment, please join us and get ready for the finals season!

Fitness Assessment
A fitness assessment is a tool used by fitness professionals to gain an understanding of a client’s current physical ability, to best prescribe fitness advice aligned with your needs and goals. Through the duration of this test a client will be measured on a variety of attributes.
The tests conducted during the assessment include:
- Resting Heart Rate
- Body Mass Index
- Body Composition
- Cardiovascular Endurance
- Muscular Strength
- Muscular Endurance
- Flexibility
A fitness assessment is not an affirmation of progress it's a tool for monitoring your progress and gauging the strides you're making towards improved fitness. The cost for this comprehensive package, inclusive of both the initial assessment and the follow-up assessment, is just $35.
To purchase a fitness assessment, you can visit our Member Services Office in person or make your purchase directly through our website. Once you've made your purchase, a member of Fitness and Wellness team will contact you within three business days to schedule your assessment.
