Curriculum Management
To help ensure that the curriculum information displayed in Acalog and PeopleSoft is accurate, UHCL will begin using Curriculog. Curriculog is a software platform that works in conjunction with Acalog to update the program and course information published in the college catalogs. Curriculog will not only help us streamline the process for program and course updates, it will help us go paperless and eliminate the discrepancies between document versions commonly encountered with traditional, paper-based approaches.
Program and course proposals will now be entered using Curriculog and will be forwarded electronically for approval. Each proposal will go through a series of pre-determined reviews for individual and/or committee approval. The final approval step is the Office of Academic Records (OAR). Once OAR receives an approved proposal, the information will be entered into PeopleSoft and then loaded into a "Working/Unpublished" college catalog. Importantly, the status, edits, and comments on the submitted proposals will be available for faculty and Administration to track and view throughout the process.
Training
Training will be available in person or online, and sessions will be recorded for future reference. Recordings and other documentation will also be provided as information becomes available.
