Web Governance
UHCL's Web Team manages the public website according to the university web governance guides, and we're here to support your web presence.
Web Support
Offices and departments with frequent website updates typically assign a web editor from within their department to handle day-to-day tasks. The Web Team trains and supports all web editors, and editors are required to attend a refresher training once per year.
If your department or office does not have a web editor, or if your web editor needs support, please submit a request for assistance.
Once your website request arrives, your assigned web coordinator may reach out for more information. The Web Team will follow university policy on web governance, branding, and accessibility. Please note that we may not be able to take on all requests.
Resources for Web Editors
The Web Team can help:
- Create new website sections and pages
- Collaborate on web-based projects
- Find and fix accessibility issues
- Optimize your web pages for search engines
- Generate Google Analytics reports
- Troubleshoot website errors
- Update website content (if you don't have a web editor)
Other Web Resources
Marketing and Communications manages the public-facing UHCL website at www.uhcl.edu. Other web-based apps and resources such as Microsoft Office 365, E-Services, Canvas, E-Commerce, Zoom, the course catalog, and the UHCL directory are managed by other campus offices.
