Typography

This is an example of an introductory text set in Libre Baskerville Italic (22px). This text is set in larger type size to distinguish it from running body copy and allows a writer to make a brief bold statement or highlight a primary idea or theme.

This is a paragraph set in DM Sans (16px) and uses a typographic style useful for running copy. This text is set in a smaller type size to distinguish it from the intro text and allow for longer stories and ease of reading.

Font Families

We've employed a web font system that uses two open-source font families as a complement their print counterparts: DM Sans and Libre Baskerville.

Both font families are designed for legibility to use freely across the Internet by web browsers on desktop computers, laptops and mobile devices. Better suited for the screen, these web fonts reflect the same typographic hierarchy that is a foundation to the University's brand.

DM Sans

DM Sans is our primary san serif typeface on the web.

Libre Baskerville

Libre Baskerville is used for intro text and select H2 branding.
