Curriculum and Instruction
Undergraduate Program (Bachelor of Arts)
The undergraduate program in History allows students to work closely with dedicated faculty to learn about the people, events, and ideas that shaped daily life in places as far removed as Ancient Rome and as familiar as the 21st century United States. More importantly, our majors acquire valuable training in advanced critical thinking and writing, both skills that make a Bachelor of Arts in History one of the most versatile degrees undergraduates can earn.
Graduate Program (Master of Arts)
The graduate program in History is designed to facilitate an advanced level of historical inquiry into United States, European, Early American, Latin American, Middle Eastern and cinema history. Students in our program come from diverse backgrounds, and benefit from small class sizes that allow for close interaction with History Faculty and fellow students. Our faculty are accomplished scholars and exceptional teachers, eager to guide you through coursework as well as the final stages of the degree. Many of our graduate courses are offered in the evening, making them easier to fit into busy work and family schedules.
