Kylie Perkins

Kylie Perkins earned her M.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2025. While at EIH, she served as a graduate research assistant and crew lead for the 2023–2024 National Rivers and Streams Assessment. Her thesis, "Comparing eDNA metabarcoding and standardized electroshocking to assess fish assemblages in Texas rivers and streams," explored the effectiveness of molecular and traditional sampling methods for characterizing fish communities across the state. She is currently a research intern at EIH, contributing to the National Coastal Condition Assessment.
