Braitmayer Foundation —The Foundation is interested in K-12 education throughout the United States. Of particular interest are: Curricular and school reform initiatives; Preparation of and professional development opportunities for teachers, particularly those which encourage people of high ability and diverse background to enter and remain in K-12 teaching.

Captain Planet Foundation — Funding and support for hands-on environmental projects that empower children and youth around the world to work individually and collectively to solve environmental problems in their neighborhoods and communities.

Donors Choose — DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. Public school teachers post classroom project requests on the site, and donors can give any amount to the project.

Earthwatch Institute Education — Earthwatch Institute offers fellowships for K-12 educators to join their two-week field expeditions. Projects range from archaeological digs in Peru, to habitat studies in Oregon, to running transects through reefs in the Bahamas. Earthwatch Institute aims to promote multidisciplinary science and social studies curriculum in schools nationwide as well as enrich teachers and enhance the academic experience of students.

National Science Teachers Association — NSTA awards, grants, and competitions for students and teachers.

PLT GreenWorks! Grant — Do you have an idea for a school or community garden, a forest improvement project, a streamside restoration plan, a recycling program, or an energy conservation project? Need funds to implement it? Apply for a PLT GreenWorks! Grant today!

Whole Kids Foundation — Created in partnership with FoodCorps, the School Garden Grant program provides a $2,000 monetary grant to a K-12 school, or a non-profit working in partnership with a K-12 school, to support a new or existing edible garden on school grounds.

Toshiba America Foundation — Toshiba's Science and Math Improvement grants are available for grades 6-12 math and science teachers with innovative project ideas or material need for their classrooms. Also available are grants to K-5 teachers.
