Practicum Experience
Early Childhood Practicum
The Early Childhood practicum is a 160 clock hour supervised experience in a community based setting related to early childhood education. Practicum is completed near the end of the program and can be done during the long semester or during the first five-week summer session. This experience is meant to allow candidates to be able to apply what they have learned during their master’s degree coursework in a real life setting, which differs from their usual work setting. Candidates must fill out the appropriate practicum application the semester prior to the practicum experience.
