Grant Funded Summer Camps

Soaring Hawks Code Academy - Every summer, the Center for Educational Programs offers Soaring Hawks Code Academy grant funded camps for children in grades 6th through 8th. These camps require an application (linked below).

TWC-Explore STEM -  The Texas Workforce Commission Vocational Rehabilitation Division (TWC-VRD) is supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) camps designed to provide students with disabilities (ages 14-22) the opportunity to learn about STEM occupations through instruction, hands-on activities, and interaction with individuals who work in STEM fields. Students registered with TWC-VRD should contact their counselor for a referral to attend the camp, once we receive the referral we will register the student for the camp. If you are interested in registering with TWC-VRD, click here for information on how to register.  Sessions include Introduction to Digital Design, Art and Animation, Introduction to Music and Sound Development, and Introduction to Coding and Video Game Development. Individuals not interested in registering with TWC-VRD may choose to self-pay through the UHCL e-Commerce link below.

These camps are located on the University of Houston-Clear Lake Campus in the Bayou Building located at 2700 Bay Area Blvd, Houston, TX 77058.
