Our Mission
To provide high-quality behavioral assessment and treatment services to individuals of all ages, regardless of diagnosis, ethnicity, gender expression/identity, immigration status, marital/relationship status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status, who engage in severe problem behavior (e.g., self-injurious behavior, aggression, property destruction, elopement) and to their families, in the context of research and training the next generation of service providers.

To have your family's name added to our waiting list, please complete our initial questionnaire (located on the CADD Home Page under "Scheduling an Appointment") then send it to us via secure Zoom message (please email us to establish a connection), email it to behaviorclinic@uhcl.edu, or FAX it to 281-283-3510 (Attention: Dr. Fritz).
We are a small clinic that operates only certain hours per week. As such, we conduct the majority of our correspondence with families via email or Zoom messages in order to maximize the time we spend providing clinical services directly to families.
Cost of Services
Our services are provided free to families.
We simply ask that you commit your appointment time and cancel well in advance of your appointment when possible (no later than 5pm the day before your appointment) so we can offer your appointment time to another family.
We reserve the appointment time for your family only. Therefore, no one receives services if you cancel at the last minute or fail to show up for your appointment.
Personnel
Director: Jennifer N. Fritz, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA-TX
Dr. Fritz is the Director of the Severe Behavior Disorders Research Clinic (SBDRC) at the University of Houston-Clear Lake's (UHCL) Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) and is a Professor in the Department of Clinical, Health, and Applied Sciences, where she teaches courses in behavior analysis and is coordinator of the undergraduate program in behavior analysis.
Dr. Fritz founded the clinic in 2008 when CADD first opened its doors. She greatly enjoys teaching students how to work effectively with families and make clinical decisions based on best-practice methods (those backed by scientific evidence). She also is honored and privileged to work with the children, adolescents, and adults who participate in the clinic along with their families. Her goal is to provide each family with exceptional care in line with their family's values and effectively decrease client's problematic behaviors so they can live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Clinical Research Specialists: Candace Benjamin, Yashira Reyes-Rodriguez, and Arianna Mitchell
Clinical Research Specialists provide therapy services directly to families under supervision by Dr. Fritz. They are current students in the UHCL master's program in behavior analysis.
