Advising and Registration

As a new UHCL Hawk, your next steps are to complete your mandatory advising and registration process to the university. This Summer and Fall 2024 semester, all newly admitted first-year students are asked to download the Navigate App to setup a mandatory advising appointment.

During your one-on-one advising and registration appointment, you will meet with your assigned academic advisor who specializes in your major. They will help you plan your first semester courses, review your academic degree plan, and give you a personalized introduction to your academic college.  The advising hold will be adjusted during your advising appointment to allow you to register.
