This minor is highly interdisciplinary and draws on coursework from the social sciences
and humanities. It fosters cross-cultural communication skills, qualitative research,
critical thinking and writing. In a world that is becoming increasingly globalized,
there is a need for people who have an understanding of the complexities of Middle
Eastern culture across all sectors of industry. Your coursework explores topics including
regional geographies, history, politics, religion and focuses on ethnic and socio-cultural
diversity. It serves as an excellent foundation for a graduate degree in cross-cultural
studies or other programs emphasizing cultural diversity.

Accreditations and Distinctions
The College of Human Sciences and Humanities holds a number of specialized accreditations, including accreditations and approval from the Commission of Accreditation for the Association for Behavior Analysis International and the National Association of School Psychologists. The Council on Social Work Education has also accredited our bachelor's degree in social work. Our Kinesiology curriculum has been recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association for preparing students to successfully enter into the career field. The Human Factors Certificate and Applied Cognitive Psychology Program are accredited by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
