Why Earn Your HRM M.A. at UH-Clear Lake?
UHCL is the only university in the Houston area that offers a fully accredited online degree in human resource management. Even as a 100% online degree program, the Human Resource Management M.A. has maintained its alignment with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the largest certifying body for human resource management professionals.
The Human Resource Management M.A. consists of 36 credit hours, with the option of full-time and part-time scheduling. Most students enroll on a part-time basis and earn the degree in a four-year period while full-time students can complete it in as little as 14 months. Additionally, enrolling in the program is easier than ever, as you may be admitted with a standardizes test waiver if you meet certain criteria (GPA and/or degree).
Career Prospects
HRM professional positions are both fast-growing and well-paying. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics data suggests that job growth in this area will double that of the general economy by 2034. Common employment areas and average wages include:

- Human resource managers ($151,000/year)
