Before becoming the director in April 2024, Jordan has served in a variety of roles in higher education impacting holistic student development. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Texas, a Master of Education in Higher Education–Student Affairs Leadership from Abilene Christian University and is currently working toward a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership-Higher Education from Abilene Christian University.

Nicole Michel joins UHCL with 12 years of higher education experience in student affairs. Before becoming the Assistant director in October 2024, she served in positions related to domestic and international admissions and recruitment, student organization management, and event programming. In her role as Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership, Nicole oversees campus events and student organizations.

Ms. Michel obtained her Bachelor of Arts in music in 2012 and Master of Arts in Leadership Development with an emphasis in higher education in 2021, from Chapman University.

Megan Bearden, M.A.

Bearden has worked in Student Involvement and Leadership at UHCL since October 2010. Before becoming the department assistant in October 2018, she served the department as a student assistant, program assistant, and staff assistant. In her role as the Department Assistant IV, Bearden handles all the business-related functions for Student Involvement and Leadership and is responsible for all training aspects for student associates.

Bearden obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2010 and a Master of Arts degree in industrial/ organizational psychology in 2012.

Calvin Nguyen seeks to promote student success and enhance the student experience at UHCL through leadership development and positive engagement. He received his Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology (2022) and a Master of Arts in Theology (2024) from the University of St. Thomas - Houston, Texas. He brings years of diverse experience to the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership from leading impactful programming to creating lasting campus traditions.

Audrey is the Student Organization Coordinator at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, where she oversees student involvement and leadership initiatives. With a Master's in Business Administration and a background in student affairs, she has experience supporting student organizations, event planning, and leadership development.
