The Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost is responsible for UHCL's academic and student success initiatives as well as the oversight of faculty appointment, promotion, and tenure. The office also oversees a broad range of programs and initiatives which benefit students throughout University of Houston-Clear Lake and its community, including undergraduate, graduate, continuing and distance education programs, as well as all academic programs and policies.
Welcome from the Provost
University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) is an incredible institution focused on and committed to student success. Approximately half of our incoming students each year are first-generation college students, and the university is designated as both a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and a Minority Serving Institution (MSI).
