More Strategic Planning Sessions Added
April 29, 2019
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:
We have three Strategic Planning sessions happening over the next couple of weeks. As a reminder, these two-hour forums will be held in the Bayou Building's Forest Room (1418) on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, April 30, 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
- Monday, May 6, 3-5 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 8, 3-5 p.m.
While you are not required to attend all sessions, you may attend more than one forum if you are interested in more than one theme. For each forum, you will choose one theme to discuss at that time. If you are interested in another theme, you may attend another forum and join a new theme conversation.
During these forums, five topic areas will be covered, including Academic Excellence; Student Experience; Sustainable Financial Resources and Alignment; Partnership with Community; and Human Capital and Service-Based Culture.
To our supervisors, for many of your staff, they have control over their daily calendar, and as such, can attend these sessions. However, please consider those members of your department who have appointed stations or tasks for appointed times. To truly be inclusive in our planning process and to gain from the viewpoint of all UHCL members, their input into — and therefore attendance at — these forums is equally important.
We hope that you can support these important members of the UHCL community and find
ways to adjust schedules accordingly to allow them to participate.
Sincerely,
Ira K. Blake, Ph.D.
President
