Reminder: Strategic Planning Sessions Begin Tomorrow
April 22, 2019
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:
I would like to remind you all of the upcoming Strategic Planning interactive sessions
titled Strategic Themes and Great Idea Forums.
These two-hour forums will be held in the Bayou Building's Forest Room (first floor, Room 1418) on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, April 23, 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
- Thursday, April 25, 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 30, 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
While you are not required to attend all sessions, you may attend more than one forum
if you are interested in more than one theme. For each forum, you will choose one
theme to discuss at that time. If you are interested in another theme, you may attend
another forum and join a new theme conversation.
During these forums, the Strategic Planning Leadership Team will identify high-level
topics that the university community wants to have considered in the plan. Five topic
areas will be covered, including Academic Excellence; Student Experience; Sustainable
Financial Resources and Alignment; Partnership with Community; and Human Capital and
Service-Based Culture.
Again, I strongly encourage each of you to participate in this important stage of creating our strategic plan.
Sincerely,
Ira K. Blake, Ph.D.
President
