Sad News - Mohammad Rob

I am saddened to share the news of the death of University of Houston-Clear Lake Professor of Management Information Systems Mohammad Rob, who passed away Sunday morning. Dr. Rob first joined UH-Clear Lake in 1990 as an assistant professor of Electro-Optics and stayed with us for five years. He returned to us in 2000 as an assistant professor of Management Information Systems; he was promoted in 2006 to associate professor with tenure and again earlier this year to a professor. His research has been published in numerous national and international journals, cited in conference presentations and received grants from agencies such as National Science Foundation and NASA Johnson Space Center.
While his first Namaz-e-Janaza was held yesterday, Dr. Rob’s second Namaz-e-Janaza will take place today, after the Zuhr prayer at 2 p.m., at Masjid Abu Bakr, 8830 Galveston Road (Hwy. 3), Houston, TX, 77034. His burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd., Houston, TX, 77075.
Dr. Rob leaves behind a wife, daughter, son and granddaughter. I offer my condolences to his family, friends and all of you who knew and loved him.
