Logo Usage

Logo Usage Guidelines

The University of Houston-Clear Lake logo guidelines were established to ensure a consistent and accurate graphic identity for each university campus. The logo and signature line are registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and usage should comply with the specifications noted in these guidelines.

As part of our branding guidelines, it is not possible for colleges, departments, offices, or centers to have their own logos, apart from in exceptional circumstances. Having multiple individual identities throughout the university would lead to a devaluation, and dilution, of the overall UHCL brand.

Ensuring that all colleges, departments, offices, and centers work under the single umbrella of the UHCL graphic identity means that we can present a consistent and professional image to our audiences. We all benefit from the global reputation of the UHCL name. Individual logos and sub-brands must therefore not be created.

Primary Identity Overview

Our logo unites us as a single identity. It is our face and signature of who we are, therefore its important to remain consistent in its use. An official UHCL logo must be included in all external communications from the university. Depending on the audience and message, one of the follow logo types should be included:
