Biography
Chris Ward, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology and neuroscience and is the chair
of the Department of Psychology. He earned his doctorate in experimental psychology
from the University of Southern Mississippi and was a post-doctoral fellow in neuroscience
at Harvard Medical School.
Previously, Dr. Ward has held faculty appointments at Stonehill College, Harvard Medical
School, University of Florida, and Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Ward’s main research interest is sleep and sleep disorders. Specifically, he studies
the effects of sleepiness on learning and memory and stress response. His research
has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, foundations, and private corporations.
