Biography
Dr. Georgina Moreno is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Houston-Clear
Lake. Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Moreno graduated with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience
from the University of Iowa and completed her postdoctoral studies at New York University.
She also holds a graduate certification in Multicultural Education and Culturally
Competent Practice from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Moreno's research explores affective neuroscience, particularly stress, emotion,
and decision-making, with a growing focus on feminist and cultural psychology. Dr.
Moreno is the Director of the Neuroscience and Behavior Program, a concentration within
the Psychology M.S. Program, and the Director of the Latinx and Latin American Studies
Program, a minor program at UHCL.
