Biography
Alex Milam is an associate professor in industrial organizational psychology at the University of Houston–Clear Lake. He graduated with his doctorate in industrial organizational psychology from the University of Houston in May 2010.
Dr. Milam has many research interests, notably workplace mistreatment, training and development, and the role that personality plays in the workplace. He has presented his research around the world, and his work on the personality of workplace incivility targets has been published in the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. He serves on the editorial board of the Romanian Journal of Applied Psychology, and as a guest reviewer for Human Relations and Journal of Health Psychology.
He is currently developing the Global Workplace Mistreatment consortium at UHCL, which examines workplace incivility, ostracism, sexual harassment, and other forms of workplace mistreatment around the world, examining universalities and differences among targets of different types of workplace mistreatment.
