Biography
Robert Bartsch received his Ph.D. in social psychology in 1996. He began working at
the University of Texas of the Permian Basin as an assistant professor. In 2001 he
moved to University of Houston – Clear Lake. He was promoted to associate professor
in 2005 and professor in 2014.
Since he joined UHCL, Dr. Bartsch has served as director of both the Psychology and
Behavior Sciences programs, co-director of the former University Teaching-Learning
Enhancement Center, division chair for Social and Behavioral Sciences, and interim
associate dean for the School of Human Sciences and Humanities. From 2017-2023 he
was the inaugural program director for the Center for Faculty Development.
