Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
EIH owns a QuestUAV AQUA unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This fixed wing UAV has a 7-ft wingspan and cruises at a speed of 35 mph with a 45 minute flight time. It is equipped with both visible and NDVI cameras. In addition, rotary wing UAVs are used to conduct ornithological research including collecting and processing georeferenced videos for identifying and mapping birds, creating high resolution orthoimages, and building 3D models of structures. EIH's FAA Exemption No is 14770.
