Lydia Thurman
Lydia Thurman is a graduate research assistant at the Environmental Institute of Houston (EIH) while pursuing a master's degree at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Originally from Colorado, Lydia holds a degree in conservation biology from Lincoln Memorial University. At EIH, she is working on the Microplastic Distribution and Impacts to Diamond-backed Terrapin, Highlighting Public Education and Future Effects of Sea-Level Rise project funded by the Matagorda Bay Mitigation Trust. She is also involved with the Clean Rivers Program. In her free time, Lydia enjoys searching for salamanders, being outside, and spending time at church.
