Mandi Gordon is a senior biologist for the Environmental Institute of Houston (EIH) at University of Houston-Clear Lake and is currently serving as the Interim Associate Director, Research Programs. Mandi is also a Ph.D. student in Ecology and Conservation Biology at Texas A&M University. She obtained her M.S. in Biology from Georgia Southern University and her B.S. in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston. Her research primarily focuses on the use of aquatic turtles as model species for evaluating a range of conservation-based questions including those related to populations, reproduction, movements, distribution, and eco-toxin bioaccumulation. Additionally, Mandi manages EIH’s state-wide monitoring projects serving as PI, co-PI, or lead-PI on many projects in EIH’s research program.
