Maeghen Wedgeworth
Maeghen Wedgeworth is a Freshwater Ecology Field Technician for University of Houston-Clear Lake. She is assisting in the collection of field data for the National Rivers and Streams Assessment survey. Wedgeworth graduated with a B.S. in marine biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in the fall of 2015, and has since obtained considerable research experience in fisheries, marine mammal ecology, and conservation. Upon graduation, she assisted with a marine mammal diving physiology research project as an intern for the Center for Coastal studies in Provincetown, Mass. She then worked for the National Marine Fisheries Service as a partial coverage Alaskan groundfish observer. Most recently, Wedgeworth participated in an Ozark smallmouth bass research project as a stream ecology technician for Oklahoma State University. Her experiences have led her to pursue specializing in estuarine and freshwater fisheries ecology and management.
