Sarah Schrock
Sarah Schrock was an aquatic turtle ecology technician on the Alligator Snapping Turtle and Western Chicken Turtle projects with the Environmental Institute of Houston’s research team. Schrock came to EIH from LaCrosse, Ind., and has a B.S. in biology and M.S. in epidemiology from Olivet Nazarene University and the University of Colorado, respectively. She hopes to transition her career from epidemiology to wildlife biology, possibly focusing on disease ecology or an overlap between public health and wildlife. Schrock spends her free time pursuing hobbies such as hiking with her dog, yoga, reading, and photography. She also loves to travel and hopes to visit—more than any other place on Earth—Antarctica.
