Aldine ISD
Instructors:
- Field Experience Requests and course rosters are to be submitted to the CPDT office.
- College/University letter or syllabus stating that observations are a part of the semester course requirements.
- Fall Observations begin after the 3rd week in September and end the second week of December.
- Fall Observation requests submission timeline – beginning of each semester through the end of November.
- Spring Observations begin after the 3rd week in January and ends the second week of May.
- Spring Observation requests submission timeline – beginning of each semester through the first week of May.
Note: Students will forward district approval letters/emails if available to the course instructor.
Students:
- Complete the Online Application. (under careers, teacher certifications, observation hours request)
- Select and apply for "observation hours request"
- Download the Observation Request Packet from the Aldine ISD Human Resources website. Fill out the form completely, being sure to identify any preference of campus.
- Please add the school(s) you wish to do observations on. (It is suggested to add 2-3 schools)
- Submit a letter from the organization requiring you to complete observation hours. Letter must be on official letterhead, specifically state the number of hours required, and reasoning observation hours are being completed.
- Provide a copy of a valid driver's license or ID and please write your social security on the forms.
- Once your application is submitted and your background check is complete, please allow 7 to 10 business days to get your observation approval. It will be emailed to you. Please note that each observation approval has an expiration date and is valid for one semester only.
- Documents can be submitted in person to the Office of Human Resources attention Carmen Hernandez or send electronically via email to cjhernandez@aldineisd.org. The Office of Human Resources Hours are Monday Thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
