Biography
Dr. Skylar Rolf is an assistant professor of management at University of Houston-Clear
Lake. Prior to pursuing an academic career, Dr. Rolf served as the chief operations
officer at the Institute for International Medicine. Upon his transition into academia,
he earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
Dr. Rolf has taught courses of Strategic Management, Current Issues in Management,
and Introduction to Management.
His primary research areas of interest include corporate governance, international
entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, and strategic leadership, and his research
has been published in Employment Relations Today, International Journal of Social
Research Methodology, and Personnel Review. Dr. Rolf is also a member of the Academy
of Management, Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action,
and the Strategic Management Society. In his free time, Dr. Rolf enjoys spending time
with his family, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and enjoying the outdoors.
