Shivani Gupta, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Shivani Gupta is an assistant professor of healthcare administration. She received her Ph.D. in Administration-Heath Services with a Concentration in Strategic Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has her undergraduate in dental sciences from India and an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg.

At University of Houston-Clear Lake, Dr. Gupta teaches a variety of courses, including Financial Management of Healthcare Organizations 1, Managed Care, and Health Facilities Operations.

Her research is primarily focused on the strategies employed by healthcare organizations in response to the changes in their environment, specifically those related to the healthcare workforce and organizational structure and their association with organizational performance (quality and financial).
