Biography
Dr. Gu is a full professor of decision sciences at the College of Business at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She teaches Management Science and Operation, Business Analytics, and Quantitative Methods for Management. In addition to her Ph.D. in Operations Management from Texas Tech University in 2013, she holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and an MS in Biochemistry from Indiana University. She has more than a decade of managerial experience from Fortune 500 pharmaceutical firms in the functional areas of strategic planning, global new product development, and international regulatory affairs. Her research interests are project management, supply chain management, technology adoption, and corporate social responsibilities. Besides co-authoring a supply chain management book, she has published her academic research in journals such as the International Journal of Project Management, Annals of Operations Research, Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Logistics Management, and other top business journals. She serves as the managing editor of the International Journal of Project Organisation and Management, and the editorial board member for several business journals in decision sciences.
