Our office is driven to advance the university's mission, best interests and welfare of its alumni by engaging all alumni in a variety of programs, services and volunteer opportunities.

Founded in 1981, the UHCL Alumni Association represents more than 80,000 alumni. It was created to enhance the pride, loyalty, and engagement of its alumni by connecting them to fellow UHCL alumni, students, parents, and friends of the university through support services, activities, and events.

Olivia Baker, '25 BS and Kathryn Shaffer, '25 MS
When Kathryn Shaffer walks the stage to receive her Master of Science in Educational Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) this May, her daughter, Olivia Baker, won't be far behind. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Education with Core Subjects EC–6, Olivia will follow her mother across the same commencement stage—a shared moment built on decades of sacrifice, strength, and family support. Anna Lowery, '14 BS, '17 MS

As a child, Anna Lowery always responded "a teacher" when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up. Today, she is the one asking the question of a new generation of young students. Lowery teaches 5th-grade science, social studies, and phonics at Parr Elementary School in League City, Texas, where she has worked since 2014. Learn more about Anna Lowery.
Lori Klein Quinn ('77 B.S.)

When Lori Klein Quinn transferred to University of Houston-Clear Lake, she was looking to create a new future for herself by enrolling in a newly-opened university that offered a degree plan that interested her. Now, as the mayor of Tomball, Texas, she said she believes much of her success and inspiration to be active in her community stems from the Bachelor of Science in Accounting she received in 1977.
