Where is the Testing Center located?
The Testing Center is located in the Bayou Building in room 1408. The address for the University is 2700 Bay Area Boulevard Houston, Texas 77058-1002.
Is parking available?
Designated visitor parking is in Lot R and curb spaces throughout campus, which are marked by signs. View Lot R Visitor Parking Map.
Parking in these areas requires the display of temporary visitor's permit. On campus, visitor permits may be purchased at Parking Kiosks throughout campus. The locations of these kiosks are indicated via signage along campus roads. The Parking Kiosks only accept debit and credit cards.
What testing services are available through the UHCL Testing Center?
The Testing Center offers over 800 different types of tests and certifications to support all UHCL programs. Currently, they include:

What types of payment are accepted?
The Testing Center accepts online payments via credit/debit cards.
What do I need to bring with me?
A current, photo identification is required for ALL testing.Other necessary documentation depends on the test title you are taking. Check test requirements for that particular exam to verify.
What are acceptable forms of photo identification?
An acceptable form of identification would be a current, valid government issued photo ID such as a state driver's license, state-issued identification, passport, etc. For local placement exams, a student ID is permissible.
What are the Testing Center hours of operation?
The Testing Center hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday by appointment only.

What items are prohibited in the Testing Center?
Examinees are not allowed to bring unauthorized items into the testing area. Items not permitted in the Testing Room include:
- backpacks/purses
- calculators
- cameras or recording devices
- cell phones (including iPhones and smartphones)
- digital watches and watches with calculator functions
- food, beverages, gum, candy and tobacco products
- hats (except those for worn for religious purposes)
- listening devices (radios, headphones, recorders)
- mechanical pencils
- notes or books
- paper of any kind
- rulers
- study materials
- wireless communication devices of any kind (PDAs, tablet PCs, iPods, iPads)
- weapons
Personal belongings will be stored in lockers. Lockers have limited space, so plan accordingly when bringing items into the Testing Center.
