Learn at Your Convenience

Those transferring in core and FOS complete, typically only have 60 hours remaining to complete at the junior- and senior-level for the B.S. in Sociology. The B.S. can be completed in as little as 2 years by taking 10 online courses per year (20 online courses total), across the fall, spring and summer semesters.

Transfer Credit

For the UHCL Online program, students typically complete the Texas Core Curriculum, and the Sociology Field of Study (FOS) at their local community college.  

This 'completer' program combines the freshman and sophomore level courses, earned elsewhere, with the junior and senior level courses required to obtain the degree. Follow the Transfer Guide below to ensure you successfully complete the lower level courses, and are prepared to transition into the junior- and senior-level courses that are conveniently offered online through UHCL.
