Marketing B.S.
Develop the Marketing Strategies That Organizations Need
Marketing is essential for virtually every type of company and organization. As the revenue-generating arm of the company, marketing is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to offer products and services to meet the needs of customers - and do so much more effectively than competitors. As a marketing major, students will learn how to (a) identify and understand target customers and (b) design, price, promote and deliver a product offering to meet their needs and desires.
Flexible Program Design to Meet Your Personal Interests
In your coursework, you will investigate multiple aspects of consumer behavior to
better understand decision making and purchasing behavior; learn how marketing communications
are designed and integrated to produce a consistent message; explore why brands are
important, what they represent to consumers and what firms should do to manage them
effectively; and examine the structural and operating implications of establishing
marketing channels of distribution to move products from manufacturing to consumption.
Flexibility in program design to address individual areas of interest is assured by
a variety of marketing electives that may include retailing, services marketing, sports
marketing, social media marketing, marketing research, sales management, and international
marketing.
Marketing faculty provide unique perspectives, marketing expertise, and a wealth of
experience.
