leading many Literature majors to become teachers for at least parts of their careers.
Additionally, cultural knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills create
opportunities in the worlds of non-profit, government, online, corporate or small
businesses. Literature graduates work in publishing, communications, public relations,
and job training, as literature majors intelligently and efficiently process information,
solve problems and communicate results. In consultation with their advisers and the
Office of Career Services, students may wish to elect a minor that will help prepare
them for their chosen career paths.
