Why the Computer Engineering B.S. at UHCL?

Robotics Courses and Research

UH-Clear Lake's CENG is one of the very first programs that offers robotics courses and research in the Houston area.

Real-World Experience

Many courses in the CENG program have laboratory components, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in computer engineering. The degree also includes senior projects I and II. Students are required to work on real-world projects in two semesters to graduate. The industry advisory board evaluates each project.

Well-Designed Curriculum Taught by Research-Driven Faculty

The CENG curriculum and faculty research highlight the integration of systems design, software applications, and hardware design, providing students with the technical skills employer seek.

ABET-Accredited Program

The Computer Engineering BS program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the commission's General Criteria and Program Criteria for Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunication(s), and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
